The GloryWay Quartet has made plans to appear at Zion United Methodist Church in Luckey on March 16 at 7 p.m. The following day they will perform a gospel concert for the worship service at 10:30 a.m. March 17 at Cloverdale United Methodist Church, Bowling Green.
The Luckey concert will be held at the church, 525 Krotzer Ave, Luckey. A free will offering will be taken.
At Cloverdale the church will switch its times that day to hold Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., followed by the worship featuring the quartet in concert at 10:30.
GloryWay Quartet has been spreading God's word through song for more than 10 years with its distinct four-part harmony.
The foursome has appeared with many of the top groups in the industry including the Dove Brothers, Dixie MelodyBoys, the Spencers, Danny Funderburk, Chuck Wagon Gang and many others.
The group consists of tenor Jim Copenhaver. The Wooster resident has also sung with the Royal Heirs and the Copenhavers. Audiences enjoy what is described as his "rich tenor vocals."
The baritone singer is Gary Lyon of Marion. He has been with the quartet for a year after previously singing with the Lyons Family. He is also a Gospel DJ for WXML radio in Upper Sandusky.
The lead vocals fall to Justin Crank of Mansfield. He was one of the founders and is the quartet's manager. He also has sung with the Fisherman Quartet and is a board member of Down Home Gospel.
Singing the bass part is Bob Christy of Mogadore. He has been with them for more than a year. His prior years of experience includes time with the Gospel Echoes.
Organizers at Zion "promise everyone will be delighted with their music."
