Casual service offered Sunday
PEMBERVILLE - The congregation of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pemberville, invites the public to join them at 5 p.m. Sunday for a casual, contemporary service.
Those attending are asked to enter at the green canopy and turn right into the fellowship hall. K-Love (contemporary Christian music station) style music and a message will be delivered. The service will be followed by sloppy joes and salad meal.
Organizers indicate there is no cost as "He has already paid the price."

'Feast at Peace'
Peace Lutheran Church, 1021 W. Wooster, will be hosting another "Fifth Friday Feast at Peace." May 31
This free community event, where all are welcome, will be held next Friday, from 5-7 p.m. Menu includes baked potato bar salad bar and desserts. Dinner music will be provided by the Peace Band.

'Priceless Pancakes' return
PEMBERVILLE - The monthly Priceless Pancakes free meal will return to First United Presbyterian Church in Pemberville Saturday from 8-11 a.m.
The public is invited to attend and to bring friends.

New sermon series begins
WAYNE - Pastor Ron Merritt of Church of the Good Shepherd, 5589 Holcomb Road, Wayne, will begin a five-part series on "The Bible" beginning June 2.
This series will focus on the recently aired mini-series, "The Bible" and will examine five "inspiring messages" and video clips from the broadcast. The services are held at 10:30 a.m. Sundays with Bible study beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The church will also feature the series at its Fostoria location, 600 N. Union St., on Saturdays at 6:30 p.m.

Concerts set for
'Truck Stop Ministries'
NORTH BALTIMORE - Truck Stop Ministries, Inc., has announced concerts for June as part of its 2013 summer concert series. Each of the concerts is scheduled to be held at the Trucker's Chapel located at Petro Truck Stop. The facility is located at Interstate 75 and Ohio Route 18 in North Baltimore.
The line up includes June 2, Jimmy Bloomfield; June 9, Trulla Thompson and Clayton and Mabel; June 16, to be announced; June 23, Chris Baldwin and June 30, 4-4-1 Quartet.
Each concert is set to begin at 6 p.m. Those attending should bring their own lawn chair.

VBS deadline reminder
