Peace Lutheran Church, 1021 W. Wooster at Martindale, will be hosting its annual Community Picnic on Oct. 20 from 4- 7 p.m. It will be held rain or shine.
The festivities at this free community event, where all are welcome, include a variety of food, live music and activities for children.
'Fusion Fall Fun Fest' set
WAYNE - Mt. Zion United Brethren Church, 7481 Bays Road, Wayne, will hold an evening of activities for area youth on Oct. 20 from 5 to 9 p.m.
The Fusion Fall Fun Fest includes a corn hole tournament, bobbing for apples, self-photo booth, turkey bowling, hayrides, carnival games, a bonfire, an inflatable bungee cord game, and a wide variety of food.
All area youth, grades 6 through 12, are invited and encouraged to bring their friends.
Annual homecoming nears at Hoytville United Methodist
HOYTVILLE - The Hoytville United Methodist Church will celebrate its annual "Homecoming" on Oct. 20. Sunday School and Church will be combined with one service beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Mercy River, a quartet from Massillon, will bring special music. A carry-in meal will be served after the service at the HYCO building (meat and beverage provided). Everyone is encouraged to attend, especially former members and pastors.
Children's Sabbath service set, spaghetti and auction follows
HASKINS - St. Paul Lutheran Church, located on Ohio 582, west of Haskins, will hold its annual "Children's Sabbath" service on Oct. 20 at 10:15 a.m. This service is to celebrate the lives of all children. Teddy bears will be accepted at the service
Immediately following the service, the preschool will hold its annual spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser.
The public is invited to attend all the events.
Soup and salad lunch offered
The congregation of Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, will host a soup and salad luncheon in the fellowship hall Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will benefit the WLMP Christian TV. The menu includes potato and cream of broccoli soups, chicken and hot ham sandwiches, along with a variety of salads and desserts.
Senior CSI event set
PERRYSBURG - CSI, Christian Seniors Interacting, invite all seniors in the area to attend its next meeting to be held Oct. 22 at Abundant Life No. 2, 200 Zoar Drive, Perrysburg. The event is held twice each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is a $3 charge for miscellaneous expenses.
The 11:30 a.m. Bible study will be led by Pastor Gary Rode of First United Methodist Church, Perrysburg. Lunch is served at noon, provided by ABC Health Care.
The program which follows will be "Universalism" by Rev. Lynn Kerr of Maumee Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation, located on Ohio Route 25 between Perrysburg and Bowling Green

Anointing Masses to be held this weekend
PERRYSBURG - Blessed John XXIII, 24250 Dixie Highway, Perrysburg, will hold its annual Anointing of the Sick during all Masses this weekend. The public is invited to attend.
Mass times are Saturday at 5 p.m.; and Sunday at 8, 9:45 and 11:30 a.m.
The anointing of the sick sacrament is for those who suffer chronic illness, who are facing surgery or other treatments, recovering from injury or other illnesses, weakness due to aging, or any other ailment or infirmity.
Mass for Knights of Columbus
TOLEDO - Bishop Leonard P. Blair of the Catholic Diocese of Toledo, will celebrate the Knights of Columbus Mass on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo.
This liturgical celebration invokes God's blessing and the guidance of the Holy Spirit upon the Knights, their good works and those they serve. The schedule of the day's events include a Presentation of the Colors by 4th Degree at 2:30 p.m, Rosary at 2:40 p.m. and Mass at 3 p.m.
