Worship service at Luckey Fest
LUCKEY - The public is invited to worship with the Luckey area churches at the Luckey Fall Festival Community Worship Service to be held Sunday at 9:30 a.m. under the tent at Basic Park in Luckey.
This will be an ecumenical communion service led by the pastors of four churches in Luckey, namely Faith United Methodist, Zion United Methodist, Salem-Grace United Lutheran and Zion Lutheran. The title of Pastor Randy Winsand's message is "God's Presence is in Relationships."
Quilts return to New Rochester
NEW ROCHESTER - On Oct. 6, during the 10:15 a.m. worship at St. Paul Lutheran Church, there will be the annual "Quilt Blessing" for Lutheran World Relief before the truck arrives for the traditional loading.
Pilgrims head to France
PERRYSBURG - Monsignor Marvin Borger of St. Rose Parish in Perrysburg is leading a group of 37 pilgrims, including many parishioners, to France. The group left last Monday and are due back Friday. He asks prayers for a safe journey.
While he is away, Father Jeff Walker will return to St. Rose and preside at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. Masses on Sunday at the parish. Later that evening Walker will fly to Rome to begin his final year of studies.
Senior CSI event set
PERRYSBURG - CSI, Christian Seniors Interacting, invite all seniors in the area to attend its next meeting to be held Oct. 8 at Abundant Life No. 2, 200 Zoar Drive, Perrysburg. The event is held twice each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is a $3 charge for miscellaneous expenses.
The 11:30 a.m. Bible study will be led by Rev. Bill Rhodes. Lunch is served at noon, provided by Spring Meadows.
The program which follows will be "Depression" with Matthew Rogers, PsyD.
Seniors should call Phyllis Morton at (419) 872-0846 for information and reservations which need to be made by Thursday.
