Bike trip to benefit church completion
WESTON - Join members of Sonlight Church and Community Center at 1052 Avery Drive in Bowling Green on Saturday at 8 a.m. Members will bike down the Slippery Elm Trail!
All families and children are invited to accompany the bike team that will continue to ride 144 miles to Dayton, and finish at the Wright Brother's Cycle Shop in historic Carillon Park.
All funds from this event will be used to finish the gym at its new worship facility in Weston. Anyone interested may watch the team's progress on Facebook: Sonlight bikes to Dayton.

BG Presbyterians host neighborhood lunch
The congregation of First Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green invites the entire community to its third annual "Big Neighborhood Lunch" on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will feature barbecued chicken and is a potluck. There will be music, children's activities including pony rides.
It will be held near the church at Presbyterian Park on South Grove Street between West Wooster and West Washington streets.

Concert to be 'Soul'd Out'
WAYNE - The Soul'd Out Quartet will present a concert at 6 p.m. Sept. 21 at Mt. Zion United Brethren Church, 7481 Bays Road, Wayne.

Pancakes served up
GRAND RAPIDS - There will be an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday at New Life Community Wesleyan Church, located at the corner of Woodburn Ave. and Second St. in Grand Rapids. The meal will be served from 8-11 a.m. The cost for the breakfast is any donation.

Financial program offered
STONY RIDGE - St. John's Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge, will host a nine-week session of Financial Peace University this fall.
A free preview will be held Sept. 22, at 6:30 p.m. Classes will begin on Oct. 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Child care will be available. The cost of the class is $99.98 and includes all materials organizers say "are needed to get participants started on the path to financial freedom."
