The Bible via 'Mayberry'
BRADNER - At 9 a.m. Sunday, the public is invited to "Come to Mayberry. Those attending will join Pastor Melanie Haack of St. James Lutheran Church for a special Bible study.  
The special program features a viewing of episodes of the Andy Griffith show, which is set in Mayberry. Those attending will explore the themes of pride, accountability, trouble and teaching. This series will continue during August.

Church at the fair
Dayspring Assembly of God will again lead the worship service on Aug. 4 at the Wood County Fair.  It will be held in the Free Tent at 11 a.m.

Ice cream to be served
RISINGSUN - St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Risingsun, will host its annual "Ice Cream Social" Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. The event will feature Toft's vanilla and butter pecan ice cream.
The menu will feature chicken noodle soup, chicken sandwiches, sloppy joes, hot dogs, coney dogs, potato salad, baked beans, pie, cake, coffee and punch, and of course, ice cream.
Proceeds from the social will be used for future projects at the church.
The public is invited to attend for what organizers say will be "good food and fellowship."

Gospel music in Tiffin
TIFFIN - Gospel music will be offered on Sunday at the 2013 Seneca County Fair from noon to 6 p.m. The music will be offered in the new entertainment building, 100 Hopewell Ave. There are 15 acts scheduled to be featured.
