Community service on Sunday
HASKINS - The Haskins Community Service will be held at Lusher Park at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. It will be led by both village churches, Haskins Community and St. Paul Lutheran. The community ice cream social will be 4:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Paul. Details on the benefit can be found on the "Community" page of Thursday's Sentinel-Tribune.

Church reunion on tap
On July 20 following the 5 p.m. Mass at St. Thomas More University Parish, the staff and students will be hosting the annual summer reunion for all Bowling Green State University graduates as well as current BGSU students affiliated with the church.
All are welcome though to stop by and have a cheeseburger and enjoy the fellowship. Games such as cornhole and ladder golf will be available. The reunion will be held on the parish grounds right in front of the church at 425 Thurstin Ave. Those attending may bring a dish to share. Anyone interested may stop and visit between 6 and 9 p.m.
Organizers indicate the reunion will also provide an opportunity to meet the new Pastor, Fr. Jason Kahle, as well as  enjoy food, fellowship and fun.

VBS  programs planned
In addition to those previously announced, two area churches have released information on their upcoming Vacation Bible Schools.
• Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold its Community Vacation Bible School beginning on Sunday and running through Wednesday. The program will be meeting from 6 to 8:15 p.m. The closing program will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., followed by an "Ice Cream Social" for all attendees and their families. The program is designed for all children ages 3 to 12 to attend! There is no cost. Crafts and other materials are included and will be sent home with the children.
• New Life Community Wesleyan Church, at the corner of Woodburn Ave. and Second St. in Grand Rapids, will be hosting the "Island Odyssey" Vacation Bible School July 22-26 daily from 6-8:30 p.m. The program is for children pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.  There is no cost.  There will be games, songs, snacks, and Bible Stories.

Senior CSI event set
PERRYSBURG - CSI, Christian Seniors Interacting, invite all seniors in the area to attend its next meeting to be held July 23 at Abundant Life No. 2, 200 Zoar Drive, Perrysburg. The event is held twice each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is a $3 charge for miscellaneous expenses.
The 11:30 a.m. Bible study will be led by Pastor Laurie White of CedarCreek Church. Lunch is served at noon, provided by Perrysburg Care & Rehab..
The program which follows will be George Kalbouss at the piano.
