Mid-week serves this summer
Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17202 N. Mercer Road, will be holding Mid-week Worship Services during the Summer. A Vespers Service with the same lessons and homily from the prior Sunday will be conducted every Wednesday at 7 p.m. The services will be held through August.

Concert in Pemberville
PEMBERVILLE - At S at 5 p.m. Sunday, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pemberville invites the community to join with them for a K-Love-style music by Ps98 and the message focus will be around prayer. Food and fellowship follow at 6.p.m. Those attending are encouraged to bring the family, and are asked to enter at the green canopy.

Pancake breakfast is Saturday
GRAND RAPIDS - There will be a pancake breakfast at New Life Community Wesleyan Church, 17679 Woodburn Ave., Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. The breakfast is free, but donations will be accepted.

Soup and salad lunch offered
The congregation of Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, will host a soup and salad luncheon in the fellowship hall Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will benefit the Lutheran Indian Ministries and Lutheran Social Services. The menu includes chili mac and corn chowder, chicken and ham salad sandwiches, along with a variety of salads and desserts.

Legalized abortion   anniversary remembered
TOLEDO - Helpers of God's Precious Infants are inviting the public to join with them for a service prior to the anniversary of 40 years of legalized abortion on Thursday at a 6 p.m. Mass. The event will be held at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo.
The Mass will be followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and prayer.
Attendees may also join with the group in praying a rosary at the abortion clinic.
