Senior CSI event set
PERRYSBURG – CSI, Christian Seniors Interacting, invite all seniors in the area to attend its next
meeting to be held June 10 at Abundant Life No. 2, 200 Zoar Dr. The event is held twice each month from
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is a $3 charge for miscellaneous expenses.
The 11:30 a.m. Bible study will be "Hymn-A-Long," led by Jan Wilcox and Betty Britten. Lunch is
served at noon, provided by the Glendale.
Bingo will follow.
Seniors should call Phyllis Morton at (419) 872-0846 for information and reservations, which need to be
made by Thursday.
‘Priceless Pancakes’ served
PEMBERVILLE – "Priceless Pancakes," a free community pancake breakfast, will be served Saturday
from 8 to 11 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church, 106 Perry St.
The public is invited. Carryouts are available and encouraged.
Peace changes service hours
After holding only one service this Sunday, Peace Lutheran Church will be beginning Thursday with new
worship times and services as follows:
Traditional worship services will be held on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m.; spoken prayer services will be
at 9 a.m. Sundays, with a casual and adventurous worship on Sundays at 11 a.m.
The Lord’s supper will be shared at each service weekly.
Brown leaving Methodist post
TOLEDO – Rev. Marla Brown has served the Maumee Watershed District for the United Methodist Church as its
superintendent for six years. She will be retiring in June.
A reception will be held for her on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. It will be held at the Church of the Cross,
1750 Eastgate Road. The public is invited.
Wyandot Mission Church services announced
UPPER SANDUSKY – The Wyandot Indian Mission was founded by John Stewart in 1816. The stone Mission
Church, built in 1824, again will be open during the summer months of June, July and August. Worship
services are held at 8 a.m. each Sunday beginning this Sunday.
The Mission Church, one block east of Ohio Route 53 on East Church Street in Upper Sandusky is open from
1 to 5 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through August.
Tours may be arranged by calling Jean Moon at 419-294-2510 or John Stewart United Methodist Church at
419-294-2867.
Pastors scheduled to lead the worship include Chief Ted Roll, Chief of Wyandot Tribe of Anderdon in
Michigan on June 8; Chief Billy Friend, Chief of the Oklahoma Wyandot Tribe on June 29; as well as the
annual visit from Eagle Bear Burling, the Ohio State Representative of Wyandot Tribe and a certified lay
speaker in the United Methodist Church on July 6.
