Baccalaureate service set
NORTH BALTIMORE - The churches of North Baltimore will join forces for the North Baltimore High School "Baccalaureate Service" at 7 p.m. Tuesday. It will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist as the community gathers togeher to honor the high school graduates and "ray them on their way."
Blessing of bikes
NORTH BALTIMORE - Pastor Susan Kronbach of Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist will be offering the "Blessing of the Bikes" at the American Legion on Saturday at 10 a.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
Senior CSI event set
PERRYSBURG - CSI, Christian Seniors Interacting, invite all seniors in the area to attend its next meeting to be held May 28 at Abundant Life No. 2, 200 Zoar Drive, Perrysburg. The event is held twice each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is a $3 charge for miscellaneous expenses.
The 11:30 a.m. Bible study will be led by Father Jerry Schetter of St. Rose Catholic Church. Lunch is served at noon, provided by The Glendale.
The program which follows will be "Margaret Sanger," founder of Planned Parenthood, as portrayed by Dr. Ruth Alteneder.
Seniors should call Phyllis Morton at (419) 872-0846 for information and reservations which need to be made by Thursday.
Basilica Mass planned
CAREY - At 5:30 p.m. May 25, Bishop Leonard P. Blair of the Toledo Catholic Diocese, will celebrate a solemn Mass at Our Lady of Consolation Basilica and National Shrine in Carey. Immediately following the Mass, Blair will renew the Act of Entrustment of the Diocese of Toledo to Our Lady. In this Act of Entrustment, the bishop asks that Mary, Mother of the Church, place the diocese under her protection.
