Pancakes for Grace's Place
LUCKEY - Grace's Place will hold a pancake breakfast Saturday 8 to 11 a.m. at Salem Grace United, 216 Main St., Luckey.
Pancakes, sausage, applesauce and drinks are included with the breakfast
Freewill offerings will provide funds to be used for Grace's Place Free Store, which provides clothing and household goods for those in need.
White Mass set
TOLEDO - The Diocese of Toledo will host a White Mass on April 28 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral to honor those who serve in the health care profession. All health care workers are invited to attend. Bishop Leonard P. Blair will celebrate the Mass.
The White Mass is named as health care workers traditionally wear white coats. Blair will offer a blessing over all of the health care professionals.
Interim named as pastor
WAYNE - Mark E. Ralph, who has been serving as an interim at the church is the new senior pastor at Mt Zion United Brethren Church in Wayne. Ralph and his wife moved from western Pennsylvania and says they "are excited about being in the area."
Couples retreat next week
TOLEDO - Keeping It Together, a Toledo Area Ministries program, is hosting a "Couple's Weekend Retreat" for couples who are engaged, interested in marriage, married or parenting partners.
The retreat will be at The Robinson Community Hub, 1075 Horace, Toledo, next Friday from 6-9 p.m. and April 27 from 9 a.m.-noon.
The free event includes childcare, food for the couples and children, and transportation if needed.
