Garage sale set with a twist, as everything is free
MILLBURY - Lakewood Church of the Brethren is sponsoring a large garage sale on April 20, with one big catch-Everything is free.
The church invites the public to share the bounty as those attending will find everything you would find at any typical garage sale. Items available include adult and children's clothes, toys, linens, furniture and other household items. The best bargain is that all items are free. Cookies and drinks will also be provided.
The church is located at 27009 Lemoyne Road, one mile south of Lake High School. The hours for the "Give-Away" will be from 9 a.m. to noon.

'Renewal and Restoration' at Wayne UM Church
WAYNE - Tonight through Sunday Wayne United Methodist Church, 202 E. Main St., Wayne, will hold "Renewal and Restoration" series featuring Richard Rhoads.
Activities begin tonight with a worship service at 7 p.m. On Saturday the teaching workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is also a worship service at 7 p.m. On Sunday the worship service is at 10:30 a.m.
Rhoads is from "Fire in the Mountains Ministries," Hendersonville, North Carolina.

'Ustreaming' at Praise Chapel PCG
NORTH BALTIMORE - Pastor Jon Rhinehart of Praise Chapel Pentecostal Church of God, announced his church as started streaming on Ustream.
The new service is on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.. The church is calling it the "Sweatpants & Popcorn" service since people can watch at home on their computer or mobile device!
The pastor says they have 24 followers "in the crowd" and almost 600 views.
Viewers do not have to log in to view. However, people can log in, join the crowd, and chat via texting during the service. Rhinehart says there is a sermon, chat time, and prayer time. The service is an hour long, depending on the chat time and prayer time. The pastor says "special guests" are planned from time to time. Ustream has apps for mobile devices which makes viewing more convenient. For more information, please call or email the church.

W.O.W. service planned
PEMBERVILLE - The community is invited to attend W.O.W. (Welcome Open Worship) at 5 p.m. Sunday, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pemberville.
This is a new kick-off date which moves the former Saturday night gathering to Sunday nights twice a month (second and fourth Sundays). There will be contemporary music and a dramatic, participatory service to bring the message alive.
Organizers note: "It is not a Sunday morning service... come experience W.O.W. and stay for a meal and fellowship at 6 p.m. No need to bring anything, just come as you are!"

Bluegrass gospel music offered
LUCKEY - Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church, 4560 Gilbert Road, Luckey, will hold a Bluegrass Gospel Music festival on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The program will feature Bridge County Bluegrass, comprised of Jerry Endicott, Brad Long, Steve Porter and Merv Spencer.
The guest preacher will be Brother Bruce Copley.
The public is invited to attend. Food and refreshments will be available immediately following the singing.

Speaker is brain tumor survivor
HOYTVILLE - Ashley (Rader) Sprunger will be the guest speaker for the worship service at 9:45 a.m. Sunday at Hoytville United Methodist Church. Sprunger, the daughter of Roger and Lori Rader of McComb, had a tumor on her brain and will tell of her experience.

Ahlborn returns
BRADNER - Larry Ahlborn will return on Saturday to the Bradner House of Prayer, located at the corner of Caldwell and East Street in Bradner.
There will be a breakfast at 9 a.m. with the concert to follow.

Pancake breakfast is Saturday
GRAND RAPIDS - There will be a pancake breakfast at New Life Community Wesleyan Church, 17679 Woodburn Ave., Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. The breakfast is free, but donations of any amount will be accepted.

Thrivent to match funds of Sunday's soup and salad lunch
The congregation of Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, will host a soup and salad luncheon in the fellowship hall Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will match the donations to benefit the Chris Smith heart disease medical expenses. Lutheran Association for Missionary Pilots is a regular beneficiary of the monthly lunch.
The menu includes beef vegetable and bean and ham soups, chicken and barbecue pork sandwiches, along with a variety of salads and desserts.
