Focus on young adults
OREGON – The public, especially church leadership, is invited to join Dr. Kent R.Hunter, founder of
Church Doctor Ministries, for what organizers call, "a morning of discussion and teaching on one of
the most talked about and researched generation of our time. Surprisingly, the young adult, millennial
generation represents the best chance the world has seen to reach the masses for Christ since the early
church."
Continuing the promotional material for the event reads, "This Ministry Round Table is focused
discussing how empowering this generation can be the most important element of potential revival that
God has given to the church in centuries. Young adults are natural networkers, and are wired
relationally. They will not ‘play church’ but are committed to authenticity and have the potential to
reach the world for Jesus Christ. Our discussion time will touch upon how to use this relational
approach to help your church reach young adults.’

Dinner concert planned at ‘Truck Stop Ministries’
NORTH BALTIMORE – Truck Stop Ministries, Inc., is planning a "Dinner Concert" on April 13
featuring Trulla Thompson Clayton & Mabel. It will be held at the Iron Skillet Restaurant,
located at the Petro Truck Stop, 12900 Deshler Road.
Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. The concert follows at 6 p.m.
Holy Week deadlines
As most Christians are aware, this year Easter will be observed on April 20. All listings for Holy Week
services and programs up to and including Good Friday services will be published next Friday (April 11).
Thus, the deadline for submission for those events and services will be noon on Wednesday. For Easter
weekend (Resurrection Sunday) services, those will be published on Good Friday (April 18) and the
deadline will be noon on April 16. Because some churches have different worship times for the holiday,
this is one of the rare times when worship times will be published, especially any sunrise services.
When submitting information for these services, please provide details regarding any unusual aspects of
the services.
Information should be e-mailed to the religion editor, Bill Ryan at [email protected].
