Service seeking wholeness
TONTOGANY - Those who are seeking physical, emotional relational or spiritual healing are invited to attend and be anointed at a special service Sunday at Tontogany Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. The service will be one of worship, prayer and anointing. Pastor Pamela Short will bring a message on God entering to one's suffering and offering wholeness.

Soup for Super Bowl Sunday
NORTH BALTIMORE - The Family Ministries group of Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist will host a "Super Bowl Soup Luncheon" immediately after its 10:15 a.m. worship Sunday. The luncheon will feature homemade soups, freshly baked bread and other treats. The public is invited and those attending are asked to bring a salad or dessert to share. Those attending are also free to wear their favorite team colors.

Special service set
PEMBERVILLE - The community is invited to come to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pemberville on Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. for contemporary music and a message in the fellowship hall! We will have a pizza meal following at 6, with fellowship and kids' activities.
The public is invited to bring their family and friends to join with the church community at 220 Cedar St.

'Sermon in Song' set
TONTOGANY - One Spirit Quartet will be giving a "Sermon in Song" at Tontogany Presbyterian Church, 18740 Main St., Tontogany, at 10 a.m. Feb. 10.
All are welcome to attend. Members of the quartet are: Denver Geitgey, Marv MtCastle, Matt MtCastle and Tim Tiderman. There will be a luncheon served after the service.

Symphony's string
quartet featured
PERRYSBURG - The public is invited to join St. Timothy's Episcopal Church for a presentation by Merwin Siu and the Toledo Symphony String Quartet.
Siu, a violinist with ZIN, will be providing a high quality music performance, a different prelude than most would envision for a Super Bowl Sunday afternoon.
The music of Schubert and Beethoven from the Quartet was featured in the movie, "The Avengers."
The performance is at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, 871 East Boundary St., Perrysburg.

Ash Wednesday, Lent near
With the joyous Christmas season still in our recent memory file, it is almost difficult to believe that Ash Wednesday and the Lenten season are just around the corner.
Next Friday's religion pages will include a listing of all Ash Wednesday (Feb. 13) services reported, as well as some information on some of the Lenten season events scheduled.

Thursday programs added
NORTH BALTIMORE - Praise Chapel Pentecostal Church of God, North Baltimore recently added a Thursday night of activities including Bible study and youth group meetings at 6:30 p.m. each Thursday. Pastor Jon Rhinehardt is now serving as the church's full-time pastor after moving he and his family from Zanesville.
The church worships at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at 500 W. Broadway, North Baltimore.

Dinner concert planned
NORTH BALTIMORE - Truck Stop Ministries, Inc., is planning a "Dinner Concert" on Feb. 10 featuring Trulla Thompson and Clayton & Mable. It will be held at the Iron Skillet Restaurant, located at the Petro Truck Stop, 12900 Deshler Road.
Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. The concert follows at 6 p.m.

Baked steak supper
McCLURE - The McClure United Methodist Church will have a baked steak supper next Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Carry-outs are available.
A free-will offering will be taken. The church is located on Ohio 65, just south of U.S. Route 6.

Weekly discipleship
HOLLAND - Portable Bible School (PBS) is a weekly discipleship and fellowship small group outreach of House on the Rock Church.
Adults and teens in Northwest Ohio are invited to watch a short DVD lesson taught by Andrew Wommack or Don Krow, followed by a discussion and fellowship with like-minded believers.
The group meets every Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. in the second floor activity room at the Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek, 2001 Perrysburg-Holland Road, Holland. Please use the Forestview entrance.
