Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo will host "Pastoral Ethics" workshops in both Toledo and Findlay.
The workshop will feature Pat Oedy-Murray, who will discuss ethical topics relevant to church staff and volunteers. These topics include managing relationships, embracing confidentiality when ministering to others, and knowing and respecting the difference between power and authority in ministry. Oedy-Murray will also discuss whether having certain life experiences, such as illness, death or divorce, would automatically qualify a volunteer or staff member to serve in that particular ministry or if something more is needed.
Three workshop times will be offered. The first option will be Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Diocese of Toledo's Catholic Center at 1933 Spielbusch Ave., Toledo.  The workshop will be repeated Aug. 21, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at St. Michael Parish, 750 Bright Road, Findlay.
A prepaid $10 non-refundable registration fee is due one week before the selected workshop date or is $15 at the door, space permitting.
Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
