Pastor Ted Gullixson's sermon Sunday at Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church will be "Blessed Are Those who Believe."

"Mercy Me," will be Pastor Dennis Gugger's sermon Sunday at Bowling Green Alliance Church.

Evangelist Harold Driver's sermon Sunday morning at Bowling Green Church of Christ will be "Finding Joy in the Vanity of Life." The evening service is "We May Suffer."

Rev. Howard Mayne's sermon Sunday at Cloverdale United Methodist Church will be "At Daybreak by the Sea."

Rev. Gary Saunders' sermon Sunday at First Presbyterian Church will be "Resurrected, Scars and All."

Pastor Chris Walter's sermon Sunday at First United Methodist Church will be "Eggs Are all Found, now What?"

Ham loaf offered
GRAND RAPIDS - Calvary United Methodist Church, 24362 W. Third St., Grand Rapids, will host a "Ham Loaf Dinner" on Sunday from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
A freewill offering will be taken with all proceeds for Emma Barnhart to help with her expenses. She has been accepted to go with a Teen Mission Team to Haiti in June.
The menu will include ham loaf, potato, vegetable, salad, roll, dessert and beverage.

'Priceless Pancakes' to celebrate its first anniversary
PEMBERVILLE - "Priceless Pancakes," a free community pancake breakfast, will celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday.
The public is invited to attend on Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church, 106 Perry, Pemberville.
In honor of the anniversary, everything is absolutely free and without charge this month. The breakfast is held on the last Saturday of each month.
Carryouts available and encouraged.

Once again, Wood County officials will join with area clergy for the National Day of Prayer observance on Thursday.
Held on the first Thursday of May each year, this year's theme is "One Voice United in Prayer."
The county's rally will again be held in the shadow of the Wood County Courthouse at noon on the steps of the former main entrance on Court Street.
Prayer leaders and will include Rev. Helen Dukes, Rev. Dale Schaefer, Rev. Rick Adams, Rev. David Boswell, Rev. Rob Warner, Rev. Jenny Jackson,   Rev. Steve Baney with speakers state legislators Randy Garner and Tim Brown, and Wood County Sheriff  Mark Wasylyshyn.
Rev. Kristel Asmus, coordinator will introduce and close the program.

Two churches will venture into the humor of their faith traditions on Sunday as they both observe "Holy Humor Sunday."
Rev. Jennifer Jackson's sermon for Holy Humor Sunday at Haskins Community Church will be "The Easter Laugh." The service will be held at 9:30 a.m.
After the long winter, Trinity United Methodist in Bloomdale celebrates its annual Holy Humor Sunday with this year's theme being, "Ready for Summer? Life's a Beach! Come Have Fun in the Son."
There will be recorded music from the Beach Boys and those attending are invited to wear sunglasses and appropriate (modest) beachwear. The congregation is also invited bring jokes to share and a lively spirit. The service begins at 9 a.m.

Pastor Ted Gullixson's sermon for the 6:30 a.m. Easter sunrise service at Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church will be "What do We Know About Easter?" For the Easter Festival service it will be "Christ Is not Here, But is Risen!" Easter Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9 a.m. It is served by the Ladies of Abiding Word.

"It's not the End ... It's the Beginning," will be Pastor Dennis Gugger's sermon for the 10 a.m. Easter worship at Bowling Green Alliance Church.

Easter at Brookside Church will feature "vibrant music" and a "message relevant to your everyday life" at its 10 a.m. worship in Olscamp Hall. An Easter egg hunt follows at 11:15 a.m.

Easter worship at Christ's Church in Bowling Green will include a "Son"rise service at 7:30 a.m. An Easter breakfast  and egg hunt will be held from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Worship begins 10:30 a.m.

Church of the Nazarene will hold its Easter Celebration at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
