Pastor Luke Ulrich's sermon Sunday at Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church will be "The Man of Joy: Bringing Peace to His Disciples."

"The Story: Tale of Two Kings," will be Pastor Dennis Gugger's sermon Sunday at Bowling Green Alliance Church.

Evangelist Harold Driver's sermon Sunday morning at Bowling Green Church of Christ will be "Heaven Will Surely be Worth it All." The evening service will be "Beware of Evil Companions."

Pastor Kevin Crawford will be speaking on "The God You're Looking for: God who is Wise," Sunday at Brookside Church.

Guest speaker Jeremiah Diegel's sermon Sunday at Cloverdale United Methodist Church will be "Now You See Me, Now You Don't."

MAUMEE - Four documentary films, one each Saturday in April at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant Street, Maumee,  (The former Maumee 18 Cineplex).
Each week's film starts at 6 p.m., followed by a brief talk by an expert panel and audience Q&A hosted by David Yonke, editor of Toledo Faith & Values (ToledoFAVS.com).
The schedule features:
• Saturday: "Hitchens v. Blair: Is Religion a Voice for Good?" A debate between atheist Christopher Hitchens and Christian Tony Blair on Nov. 26, 2010
• April 13: "Father of Lights: Who is God?": Filmmaker Darren Wilson sought to "peel back the many layers of religious garbage" to find God's true character.

Eggs hidden
PEMBERVILLE - SonFire by the River Church has hidden plastic eggs around the village as part of its promotion of Easter services at the church service. Inside each egg is a coupon that may be redeemed for a free bag of homemade Easter candy that will be distributed on Easter Sunday prior to the 10:30 a.m. Easter service. All worshippers are invited to a free Easter buffet in the Higher Ground Coffee shop from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service.

Children invited to hunt
Children ages 12 and younger are invited to Hope Lutheran Church to hunt for Easter eggs, play games and other fun activities at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, 13507 Cloverdale Road.
 
Historical museum kicks off 'Tea Season' in biblical proportions PDF Print E-mail

The Wood County Historical Center and Museum is kicking off their monthly tea series in biblical proportions with the program "Gimme That Ol' Time Religion" on Thursday at 2 p.m.
Since the 1870s, the Portage Holiness Camp in Portage has provided a gathering place for Christian fellowship. The program will look at its long history in Northwest Ohio. Light refreshments and tea will be served before the program. Guests are welcome to take a self-guided tour of the museum before or after the tea.
Advanced reservations are necessary for all teas by calling (419) 352-0967. Seating is limited; groups are welcome. The museum is handicap accessible.

Pastor Luke Ulrich's sermon for the 7 a.m. Easter sunrise service at Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church will be "The Man of Joy: He Is Risen Indeed! Alleluia!" Easter breakfast will be served in the Fellowship Hall at 8:15 a.m. The special Easter Sunday School for children at 9 a.m. features a screening of the "Road to Emmaus" movie.
The Easter Festival service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday Ulrich's sermon theme will be "The Man of Joy: Opening the Scriptures to Us!" The youth Easter egg hunt will take place after the service at approximately 11:30 a.m.

"Easter - He Is Risen," will be Pastor Dennis Gugger's sermon for the 10 a.m. Easter morning worship at Bowling Green Alliance Church. A continental breakfast will be served at 8:45 a.m.

Evangelist Harold Driver's sermon for Sunday morning at Bowling Green Church of Christ will be "The Cruel Cross of Calvary." The evening service will be "Sing a New Song."

There will be a 10 a.m. Easter worship at Bowling Green Covenant Church.

Pastor Kevin Crawford will be speaking on "The God You're Looking for: God who is Loving," for the 10 a.m. Easter worship at Brookside Church.
