For the second consecutive year, the two Bowling Green Catholic churches will be joining forces for a celebration of the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ on June 1.
The event will be a multi-part celebration with Mass at St Thomas More University Parish at 5 p.m. Members of St. Aloysius Parish will celebrate their Mass at 5:30 p.m.
The St. Thomas More congregation will have a "Corpus Christi Procession with Blessed Sacrament" following the Mass. Members will carry the consecrated host which becomes the body of Christ for those of the faith in procession to St. Aloysius.
When they arrive at the other church, the congregations will join for songs and prayers of adoration at St. Aloysius at 6:30 p.m., followed by joint process with the blessed sacrament around the St. Aloysius property, returning to the church.
A potluck meal will follow in Hartmann Hall at St. Aloysius.
The public is invited to attend Mass at either church along with the procession and potluck.
Those whose last name begins with A-G should bring a salad; Those H-Q and a dessert should be brought by the remainder of the alphabet.
Hartmann Hall will be open at 4 p.m., for those who wish to bring their contribution prior to Mass.
