TOLEDO - The community of greater Toledo will again come together for the 24th annual Northwest Ohio Prayer Breakfast in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer.
The breakfast has become a prominent event on many people's calendars. For two dozen years, there have been between 750 and 1,000 local business and community leaders in attendance.
This year's event will again be held at the Premier Banquet Center (formerly called Gladieux Meadows) on Heatherdowns Blvd., on Thursday, from 7- 8:45 a.m.  Organizers note they are very excited to announce this year's speaker is Sujo John. His story tells how he and his wife both escaped from the World Trade Center on 9/11.
Six months previous to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the two World Trade towers in New York City, John moved from India seeking adventure and prosperity in the U.S. He worked on the 81st floor of the North Tower, and his then-pregnant wife, Mary worked in the 71st floor of the South Tower. By the grace of God, they both survived. Their story has been featured in prominent newspapers and television shows across the globe.. Taking his story of hope and faith around the world, John has spoken to millions in churches, universities, schools, corporations and community events globally. He is also the founder of YouCanFree.us a movement to rescue and rehabilitate victims of human trafficking. This ministry presently runs safe houses in New Delhi, India. He is the author of the book, "Do You Know Where You Are Going?"
Organizers say, "The Prayer Breakfast provides a great opportunity to connect with others in the community while enjoying a great sit-down, continental breakfast."
Tickets are available in advance through the web site or at the door for $15 each.
