As they prepare to expand, CSX officials showed off the rail hub’s 500-acre site west of North Baltimore Wednesday morning. To aid the expansion, the Wood County Commissioners have applied for federal funding for half of the $42 million project. The expansion project would add eight additional tracks, install two more wide span cranes, and extend the process area by 2,300 feet. The site currently employs 300 people. Though the expansion will likely create more jobs, CSX officials are unsure how many will be added. (Photos: J.D. Pooley/Sentinel-Tribune) SEE MORE PHOTOS
