The Bowling Green Memorial Day Parade left the Federal Building parking lot at South Main and Washington streets today. The parade moved north on Main, turning east on Court Street, making a stop at the Wood County Courthouse for a brief ceremony and then moved east to Thurstin Street, north to Ridge Street and then east to Oak Grove Cemetery. Joseph Fawcett, a two-tour Iraqi Freedom veteran and Assistant Wood County Administrator, delivered the address. Music was be provided by the Bowling Green High School Band. Members of the 14th Ohio Volunteer Infantry and 3rd Arkansas Civil War re-enactors provided rifle salutes. BGSU Air Force ROTC and BGSU Army ROTC Pershing Rifles provided the color guard.
