Heavenlei Newsom, 5 of Bloomdale, looks for toys (above) with Bowling Green Police Chief Brad Conner Saturday, during a Shop with a Cop event at Meijer in Perrysburg. Officers were paired up with a child from the area and given $100 to spend on clothing and toys. The Wood County Fraternal Order of Police hosted the event. Construction crews have made significant progress on the steel frame of the Market Square development in the 200 block of Bowling Green’s East Wooster Street.
