WHEELING, W.Va. — Toledo scored three times in the final 12 minutes Friday for an 8-5 win over Wheeling in an East Coast Hockey League game.
Trevor Parkes snapped a 5-5 tie with 11:29 remaining, and Travis Novak and Joey Martin added insurance goals.
Martin finished with two goals and one assist, while Willie Coetzee added a goal and three assists, and Parkes and Ben Youds each had one goal and two assists.
Also for Toledo, Kyle Rogers and Randy Rowe each had one goal and one assist, and Jordan Pearce and Kent Simpson combined for 30 saves.
Toledo finished the regular season 37-26-5-4.
