TOLEDO - Toledo defeated Butler 63-49 Thursday in the first round of the WNIT in Savage Arena.
The Rockets (28-3) host Youngstown State (23-9) in a second-round matchup on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Naama Shafir led three Rockets in double figures with 17 points and she added four assists and four rebounds.
Inma Zanoguera added 16 points and three steals and Yolanda Richardson had 12 points, a team-high seven boards and three steals for the Rockets. The trio accounted for 71.4 percent of UT's points against the Bulldogs.
The Rockets shot 42.4 percent (25-of-59) from the field, including 25.0 (3-of-12) from 3-point range, and 66.7 percent (10-of-15) from the charity stripe.
UT dominated the interior and finished with a 26-14 edge in points in the paint. The Rockets held a 39-33 advantage rebounding edge.
The game drew 2,546 fans.
