Falcon volleyball beaten
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Notre Dame’s volleyball team was a 29-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-13 winner Friday over Bowling Green in the Golden Dome Invitational.
BG’s leaders were: Danielle Tonyan, 16 kills, six blocks; Paige Penrod, 14 kills, 13 digs; Lindsey Butterfield, 11 kills; Laura Avila, 31 assists; Erica Fullenkamp, 20 assists; BGHS graduate Ashley Dunn, 20 digs; and Kaitlyn Skinner, eight blocks.
BG is 1-3 overall. The Falcons face Dabrow of Poland, in an exhibition game, and No. 22 Purdue today. ND is 2-2.
Also Friday, BG announced its Sept. 28 home match against Northern Illinois will be televised as part of the Mid-American Conference’s package with Time Warner Cable Sports Channel.
The match starts at 7 p.m.

BG men’s soccer loses
MLWAUKEE — Sixteenth-ranked Marquette scored all of its goals in the second half Friday for a 3-0 win over Bowling Green’s men’s soccer team in the Panther Invitational.
BG’s Michael Wiest made three saves. Both teams are 1-1-1 overall.
The Falcons play host Wisconsin-Milwaukee today.

Falcon women’s soccer plans clinic
Bowling Green’s women’s soccer team will offer a free clinic Sept. 22 after the Falcons’ 1 p.m. match with Evansville.
The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 3-14. There is no admission charge to the match.

Otsego plans chicken barbecue
TONTOGANY —The Otsego Athletic Boosters are hosting a chicken barbecue catered by Harlan’s Friday before the Knights’ first home football game against Bowling Green.
The barbecue is from 5-7 p.m. at the high school commons. The cost is $7 for a chicken dinner and $3 for a hot dog dinner.
The chicken dinners include chicken, applesauce, au gratin potatoes, roll/butter and drink. The children’s dinner includes a hot dog, chips and drink.

NB needs varsity wrestling coach
NORTH BALTIMORE — North Baltimore High School has an opening for a varsity wrestling coach with varsity wrestling experience.

The application deadline is Sept. 25.

Lake golf scrambles set
MILLBURY — The Lake Athletic Boosters golf scrambles are Oct. 6 at Chippewa Golf Club. Check-in is at 12:30 p.m. and the event starts at 1.
The cost is $65 per person and there are four-player teams. The first 28 teams to pay are in the event.
All proceeds benefit the student-athletes of Lake schools.
Dinner will be provided after the scrambles.

Owens’ Martin honored
Owens sophomore midfielder Jacob Martin is the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference soccer player of the week.
Martin scored twice, including the game-winner in double overtime, in the Express’ 4-3 win against Jackson College.
