Falcons honored for academics

Four members of the Bowling Green State University outdoor track and field team were named Academic All-MAC
Tina Perrine, Jeanette Pettigrew, Brooke Pleger and Natalie Sommerville were each honored with the award. Four others earned honorable mention nods - Andrea Alt, Mackenzie McMillin, Becca Rae and Krystin Reiser.

BGSU alum named in football award

Bowling Green State University alumnus George Weiss will receive the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's 2014 Gold Medal award.
The highest award presented by the National Football Foundation, the Gold Medal recognizes an outstanding American who has demonstrated integrity and honesty, achieved significant career success, and has reflected the basic values of those who have excelled in amateur sport, particularly football.
