Perrysburg girls golf
PERRYSBURG — The Perrysburg High School girls golf team is having an informational tryout meeting July 22 at 7 p.m. at Perrysburg High School.
All girls interested in trying out for this year’s team should attend. Also, all girls must have a physical completed and on file in the athletic department prior to tryouts.
Falcon men’s basketball
plans alumni, family day
The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team is hosting an alumni and family day on Aug. 3 from noon-3 p.m. at the Stroh Center.
Former BGSU men’s basketball players and families are invited to participate in a shoot-around as well as to mix and mingle with past and current Falcons and coaches. Bring shorts, sneakers and appetites as food will provided.
Owens athletics 23rd in nation
The Owens Community College athletics department finished the 2012-13 year 23rd in the nation in the overall standings of the scholarship division of the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCCA) Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup.
The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup honors institutions maintaining a broad-based program, achieving success in many sports, both men’s and women’s
The scholarship division consists of both National Junior College Athletic Association Division I and II members.
Of the 401 scholarship offering institutions. Owens was the only program in the NJCAA Region XII ranked in the Top-25.
Baseball camp planned
Coast to Coast baseball is holding a tryout and hitting camp on July 23 at Perry Field House.
The tryout camp starts at 10 a.m. with the hitting camp at 2 p.m.
