Starting time for BGSU  football opener changed
The starting time for Bowling Green’s season-opening football game at Western Kentucky has been changed to 7:30 p.m.
The game is Aug. 29. The change was made to accommodate CBS Sports Network, which is televising the game.

Clapacs named to
Falcon men’s staff
Euclid native Jeff Clapacs was named the director of operations for Bowling Green’s men’s basketball program, head coach Chris Jans announced Friday.
He comes to BG after serving three seasons as an assistant coach at Arkansas State, the last two alongside current Falcon assistant coach Corey Barker.
Clapacs also was the director of operations at LSU during the 2007-08 season. He played at the College of Wooster where he also served as a student assistant coach.

Horn places in state meet
Maria Horn of St. Aloysius competed in the middle school state track and field meet.
She was second in the 400, third in the 100 and fifth in the 200 for seventh-graders.
