Falcon baseball loses
KENT — Kent State’s baseball team took a 9-0 lead after five innings Friday on the way to a 10-4 win over Bowling Green in a Mid-American Conference game.
Patrick Lancaster was 3-for-5 for BG, while Jeremy Shay was 2-for-5, and Brandon Howard had a double and three runs batted in.
BG is 14-20 overall and 8-8 in the MAC East Division. Kent is 21-20, 10-6.

BG women’s golf next-to-last
NASHPORT — Bowling Green’s women’s golf team is next-to-last after Friday’s first round of the Mid-American Conference tournanment at Longaberger Golf Club.
BG shot a 327 total. Kent State leads the nine-team tournament at 303.
The Falcons’ Lily Bartell is tied for ninth with a 78.
BG’s other scores were: Patricia Holt, 81; Shelby Wilson, 83; and Bailey Arnold, 85.

Bobcat basketball meeting Monday
The Bowling Green High School boys basketball team will hold a meeting Monday night at 8 in the cafeferia.
The meeting, open to incoming ninth through 12th graders, is being held to plan the team’s summer schedule.

USSA softball tournaments slated
A USSSA world bid men’s softball tournament is May 18 in Bowling Green. The drawing is May 16 at 5 p.m. Contact Tim at (419) 409-1942 for more information.
An all-night men’s and co-ed softball tournament will be May 25 and 26 in Bowling Green. There will also be a cornhole tournament and free camping. Contact Brad at (419) 680-1464 for more information.
