Mankowski, Rich to play in all-star game
Bowling Green defenseman Drew Mankowski and forward Phillip Rich have been selected to play in the Ohio
high school hockey senior all-star game.
The game is Saturday at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, starting at 10 a.m.
Youth rugby players wanted
TONTOGANY – Otsego Rugby is looking to attract local high school boys to form a club to join the
Northwest Ohio Rugby League.
Any boy in grades 9-12 is allowed to play for the club. You don’t have to be a student enrolled with
Otsego High School.
Registration is $100 for players. This fee pays for the referees, an athletic trainer at every game and
league expenses. Registration must be completed online at http://www.rugbyohio.com. Rugby Ohio also
offers a need-based scholarship application, which can be downloaded from the website.
Volunteer coaches are needed. Coaches will need to register and become certified by Rugby Ohio.
The deadline for registration is March 16.
An informational meeting will be held in the Otsego High School Commons on Friday at 3:15 p.m.

Owens softball now 6-0
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Owens Community College softball team is now 6-0 after beating Lincoln Trail
College, 11-2 in five innings, and Southeastern CC-Whiteville, 10-7.
Owens’ top hitters against Lincoln Trail were: Brittany George, from Elmwood High School, 3-for-4, two
doubles, three RBI; Emily Morrow, home run, two RBI; Molly Gast, 2-for-4, three RBI; Josie Hall,
2-for-4; and Lesley Ducat, 2-for-2.
Top hitters in the second game for Owens were: Tori Weidinger, 3-for-5, two home runs, five RBI; Gast,
2-for-3; George, 2-for-4, RBI; and Emily Rockman, 2-for-3, RBI.
Antonacci transfers to Owens
Shelby Antonacci, who was a standout soccer player at Lake High School, will play for Owens Community
College next season.
Antonacci was a freshman at the University of Toledo last season, playing in 17 games with five starts.
She scored two goals for the Rockets.
At Lake, Antonacci scored 77 goals and had 48 assists in career, earning second-team All-Ohio honors
three times. As a senior, she scored 21 goals and 11 assists.
