Falcon women tied for 28th
The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team is 28th with 30 points in this week’s
Associated Press national poll.
Last week, Bowling Green was 29th with 14 points.

Perrysburg’s boys tickets on sale
PERRYSBURG – Tickets for the Perrysburg-Findlay boys district basketball game will be on sale Wednesday
and Thursday from 9 a.m.-2 p,m. in the athletic office at Perrysburg High School.
BGSU men’s golf tied for 4th
HOOVER, Ala. – The Bowling Green State University men’s golf team is tied for fourth after Monday’s first
round of the Samford Intercollegiate at the Hoover Country Club.
UAB leads the 16-team field with a 2-over 290 total. BG and Austin Peay are at 312, 24-over.
BG’s scores were: Jose Narro, 75, tied for 10th; Joe Cooper, 76, tied for 12th; Brett Rinker, 77th, tied
for 18th; Chris Melvin, 84, tied for 64th; and Ryan Triller, 91, tied for 84th.
Owens softball wins twice
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Owens Community College softball team improved to 4-0 with 8-0 and 15-0 wins
over Jackson College Monday.
In the opener, Lesley Ducat pitched a one-hitter in the five-inning game, walking five and striking out
six. Owens’ top-hitters were: Emily Morrow, 2-for-3, two doubles, RBI; Brittany George, from Elmwood
High School, 2-for-3, RBI; Emily Rockman, 2-for-3, two RBI; and Molly Gast, double.
In the second game, Lexi Williams pitched a four-hitter in a six-inning contest, with no walks or
strikeouts. Top hitters were: Rockman, 3-for-4, double, four RBI; Gast, 3-for-5, double, RBI; and Tori
Weidinger, 3-for-4, double, three RBI.
