Falcon baseball loses
AUBURNDALE, Fla. – Maine defeated Bowling Green, 14-5 in the finale of the Central Florida Russ Matt
Invitational Saturday. The Falcons, 6-12 overall, went 3-3 in the invitational.
Brandon Howard went 3-for-3 for the Falcons, lacking only a home run for the cycle. He had three hits and
scored two runs.
Seven other Falcons each had one hit as Addison Rospert hit a double.
BGSU gymnasts finish third
LOS ANGELES – The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team was third in a triangular Sunday.
BG scored a 194.175 to finish behind No. 7 UCLA (197.050) won the meet. The Falcons finished with a
194.175 total. The Falcons finish the regular season 7-9.
BG’s leaders were: Lauren Feely, vault, 9.825;
Amanda Lievendag, bars, 9.850; Alyssa Nocell, and beam, 9.775, and floor, 9.850.
Nocella had the best all-around score on the team with a 39.050, the fourth time she has gone over 39.000
this year.
BG competes in the Mid-American Conference championship meet Saturday at Eastern Michigan, starting at 2
p.m.
Falcon women bowlers finish ninth in sectional
ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Bowling Green State University Falcon women finished in ninth place at last
weekend’s XBowling Intercollegiate Team Championships sectional tournament. The men’s team finished in
17th place in its division.
The top four teams in each division advanced to the national finals.
The Falcon women totaled 11,901 pins for the 64-game event. All of the games were rolled using the Baker
format, averaging nearly 186 over the two days. It took a total of 12,381 to advance.
The Falcon men shot 10,440 for their 64 Baker games. The fourth-place total needed to advance was 12,418.

High games for the women included 235 and 231 in the final block, a 235 in the opening block, as well as
games of 220, 222 and 236 in the second block on Saturday.
The men’s team high was a 220 in the third game of the event on Saturday.
