Falcon baseball wins
MURRAY, Ky. — The Bowling Green State University baseball team scored four runs in the first two innings and went on to post a 5-3 win over Murray State Friday. BG is 2-2 overall.
Jeremy Shay, hit a double and a triple, and had two RBI for the Falcons while Andrew Kubuski also had two hits.
Ethan McKenney converted a seven-out save, pitching the final 2 1/3 innings to close out the game.

BGSU softball splits
OXFORD, Miss. — The Bowling Green State University softball team pounded out 12 hits on the way to a 6-2 win over Northern Colorado in the opener at the Red and Blue Classic Friday.
In the second game, the University of Mississippi shut out the Falcons, 2-0.
In the opener top hitters for BG were: Chelsea Raker, 3-for-4, home run, two RBI; Aspen Searle, 2-for-3; Erika Stratton, double; Sami Parave, two RBI.
Braden Dillow pitched the first 6 1/3 innings, allowing six hits and one earned run with no walks and six strikeouts to earn the victory.
BG had only four hits against Ole Miss with Katie Yoho hitting a double. Kertes allowed seven hits and two walks with four strike outs.
BG is 2-7-1 overall.

Tickets on sale for
Perrysburg-AW boys game
PERRYSBURG — Tickets will be on sale next Thursday and Friday for the Perrysburg-Anthony Wayne boys sectional final at Otsego High School on Friday at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students and are available in the athletic office from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
