Falcon baseball loses
MURRAY, Ky. — Murray State scored six runs in the seventh inning on the way to a 9-7 victory over Bowling Green State University Friday. The Falcons are now 2-2.
Top hitters for the Falcons were: Jake Thomas, 4-for-4, double, triple, two RBI; Patrick Lancaster, 3-for-5, three RBI; and Trey Keegan, double.
BGSU tennis wins
PERRYSBURG — The Bowling Green State University tennis team won the doubles point for the eighth consecutive match on the way to a 4-3 win over Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne Friday at the Perrysburg Tennis Center. The Falcons are 8-1 this season, having won eight straight matches.
BG’s winners were: Nikki Chiricosta, second singles; Katie Grubb, fifth singles; Katie Brozovich, sixth singles; Chiricosta and Emily Reuland, second doubles; and Mary Hill and Jade Johnson, third doubles.
Bowling Green hosts California (Pa.) Sunday starting at 9:30 a.m.

MAC indoor track meet
YPSILANTI, Mich., — Dana Gates had Bowling Green’s best finish Friday as she was 12th in the long jump at the Mid-American Conference indoor track and field meet.
She had a distance of 17-9 3/4. The meet continues today.
