BGHS hockey ranked ninth
COLUMBUS – Bowling Green was ninth in the final state high school hockey coaches poll announced Monday
night.
The Bobcats, 17-9-1 overall, had 14 points after being among the teams receiving votes last week.

Perrysburg, Lake boys in top 10
COLUMBUS – Perrysburg’s and Lake’s boys basketball teams continue to be ranked in the statemedia voting.

In Division I, Perrysburg, 17-1, is sixth with 112 points, up from seventh with 81 points last week.
In Division II, Lake, 11-71, is eighth with 73 points, up from ninth with 58 last week.

BG men’s golf golfers lose twice
DADE CITY, Fla. – The Bowling Green State University men’s golf team lost twice on day one of the
Mid-American Match Play event the Lake Jovita Golf Course on Monday.
Ball State posted a 4-2 win over the Falcons and Miami edged BG, 5 1/2-1/2.
Brett Rinker and Joshua Bialecki were BG’s winners against the Cardinals.
Joe Cooper earned BG’s half-point in the Miami match.
BGSU women ranked in AP poll
The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team is tied for 34th with five points in this
week’s Associated Press media poll.
The Falcons, 20-3, were 33rd with seven votes last week.

Elmwood boys sectional tickets on sale
Tickets for Elmwood’s boys sectional basketball game are on sale in the high school office.
The Royals play Lakota Feb. 25 in a 6:15 p.m. start at Findlay High School.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students.
Murray honored by OCCAC
Owens Community College’s John Murry is the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference men’s basketball
player of the week.
The freshman guard had 28 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 116-92 win over
17th-ranked Sinclair Community College.
Murry is averaging a team-high 16.4 points per game overall this year, as well as 4.6 rebounds, 2.1
assists and 1.1 steals per contest.
Murry earned the honor for the second straight week
Ice Frogs to play in Toledo
The Bowling Green Black Swap Ice Frogs sled hockey team will play in a tournament Saturday at Ottawa Park
in Toledo.
The schedule: 9-9:50 a.m.. – Ice Frogs vs. Detroit MORC Stars, 10-10:50 a.m. Columbus Blue Jackets vs.
Michigan Far Flyers, 11-11:50 a.m. – Open skate, Noon-12:50 p.m. – Blue Jackets vs. Stars, and 1-1:50
p.m. – Ice Frogs vs. Flyers.
