Delas to play at ToledoPERRYSBURG – Perrysburg High School senior Mark Delas has verbally
committed to play baseball at the University of Toledo.The pitcher/third baseman was a first-team All-Ohio
selection last season as a utility player.Delas hit .408 last season to go along with five doubles, four
triples and 31 runs batted in. The right-hander was 6-1 with three saves and a 1.58 earned-run average,
striking out 31 in 48 2/3 innings.BGHS hockey receives votesCOLUMBUS – Bowling Green was among the teams
receiving votes in this week’s state high school hockey poll announced Monday night.BG was ninth with 22
point last week.BG plays two ranked opponents this weekend, facing No. 8 Northview Friday at 6:30 p.m. at

Meili Martin (Proctorville, Ohio) and Megan Miller (Sylvania) have signed national letters of intent to play
tennis at Bowling Green State University.Adams is a senior at North Allegheny High School. The No. 1 singles
player for the Tigers, she sat out portions of her senior season due to injury. Adams competed in the state
doubles tournament, winning the Class AAA Section 2 title and finishing second in the state in the WPIAL
Class AAA tournament.Martin, a senior at Chesapeake High School. Her high school does not have a tennis
team, but she and her sister, Minda, competed in the state championships in doubles.Miller, a senior at
Northview High School. won the Northern Lakes League title at the No. 1 singles flight in each of her four
years, and advanced to the Division I state tournament three times.Owens women post winFLINT, Mich. –
Kamilah Carter scored 24 points to help the Owens Community College women’s basketball team beat Mott CC,
63-52 Monday. Owens, 14-1 overall, is ranked No. 4 in the nation.Other leaders for Owens were: Eboni Adams,
11 points, seven rebounds, four assists; Paige Wright, 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists; and Ashley
Tunstall, 10 points, 10 rebounds.Mott CC tops Owens menFLINT Mich. – Mott Community College made an 18-0 run
in the first half on the way to a 97-62 win over the Owens Community College men’s basketball team Monday.
Owens is 12-4.Owens’ leaders were: John Murry, 16 points; Shaakir Lindsey, 12 points; and Tony Boykins, 10
points, four rebounds.
