Gwin selected forSpringfield Hall of FameHOLLAND — Bowling Green High School graduate Steve Gwin
has been selected for induction into the Springfield High School Athletic Hall of Fame.Gwin, who is in his
seventh year as Springfield’s principal, was the Blue Devils’ head football coach from 1988-99.The Blue
Devils were a Northern Lakes League power under Gwin, going 74-38 overall and 61-25 in league, and winning
league titles in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994.Gwin, a three-sport star at BGHS where he graduated in 1972, went
to play collegiately at Capital and was an assistant football coach at the University of Toledo from
1982-88.McLeod to retireas WCHA commissionerMADISON, Wis. – Bruce McLeod will retire as the commissioner of
the Western Collegiate Hockey Association June 30 when his contract ends. The 62-year-old announced his
retirement Friday.McLeod is in his 20th season as the commissioner.Bowling Green joined the WCHA this season
being a charter member of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.
