BG’s Griffin sets school recordEVANSTON, Ill. – Victoria Griffin set a school record for the
Bowling Green State University swimming team Sunday at the TYR Invitational.The freshman was timed in 49.87
in the 100 freestyle to become the first Falcon to break 50 seconds in the event. Teammate Brittany Szekely
held the previous record of 50.31.Bowling Green finished fourth in the nine-team event with 582 points, one
point behind Missouri State. Northwestern won the meet with 1,066 points.Also on Sunday, BG’s 400 freestyle
relay team of Griffin, Kayla Effinger, JoƩlle Scheps, and Szekely was second, and Daniela Carrillo was
second in the 200 breast stroke (2:16.22).On Saturday, BG’s 200 medley relay team of Maya Skorupski,
Carrillo, Scheps and Szekely was second in 1:44.30, a season-best time.Griffin, Scheps, Emily Waller and

routs MacombMACOMB, Mich. – John Murry scored 19 points, leading Owens Community College’s men’s basketball
team to a 90-65 win over Macomb Community College, Saturday.The Express, ranked No. 8, nationally, had four
players in double figures as they improved to 6-2 overall.Andy Bachman scored 15 points, while Bikramjit
Gill and Antoine Benford scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.
