BGSU's Tate earns academic honor
Tyler Tate, a redshirt sophomore on the Bowling Green State University football team, has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team.
The Falcons' place kicker the past two years, Tate is 10-of-13 on field goals and 34-of-35 on PATs.
An exercise science major, Tate has a 4.0 grade-point average.

Express volleyball players honored
Lisa Urbanski, and Ciarra Wirick from the Owens Community College volleyball team have earned first-team Ohio Community College Athletic Conference honors.
It is the second straight year that Urbanski was named first-team All-OCCAC.
Both Urbanski and Wirick were also named first-team All-Region XII, while Urbanski was named to the Region XII All-Tournament team.
Also Owens' Jazmine Thomas earned her second consecutive honorable mention All-OCCAC selection.
Owens finished 22-21 this season.
