Sehmann earns All-American status
Bowling Green's Emmy Sehmann has earned National Scholastic Swim Coaches Association All-American status in the 200-yard freestyle for the 2013 season.
A BGHS student, Sehmann qualified for the honor by swimming a 1:49.76 in the Division I district, breaking the district and school records.
Sehmann has also been named to the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American team for the 2012-13 academic year. She has a 4.0 grade-point-average while exceeding qualifying marks in the 50 freestyle (23.50), 100 freestyle (50.84), 200 freestyle (1:49.76), and 500 freestyle (4:56.81).\
BG women's golfers second
PORT CLINTON - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team is second after the first day of the Rocket Classic at the Catawba Island Club.
Host Toledo leads the 13-team field with a 597. The Falcons are at 622.
BG's scorers were: Shelby Wilson and Lily Bartell, tied for 14th, 154; Patricka Holt, tied for 18th, 155; Hannah Lewis, tied for 29th, 159; and Bailey Arnold, tied for 45th, 163.
