Perrysburg girls move up to 11th
COLUMBUS – Perrysburg’s girls moved up one spot to 11th in this week’s Division I high school basketball
poll announced Tueday.
The Yellow Jackets had 17 points in the voting by coaches this week, compared to 19 last week .
Perrysburg is 12-2 overall and 10-0 in the Northern Lakes League.

McDaniel goes to IU
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Larry McDaniel, the defensive line coach at Bowling Green State University, has been
named to the same position at Indiana University.
McDaniel was a four-year starter (1989-92) at nose guard and a senior captain with the Hoosiers. He
graduated in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
BGHS hockey hosts spirit day
The Bowling Green High School hockey team is hosting a spirit day for its game Tuesday against Findlay.
Faceoff is 7 p.m. in the Ice Arena.
BGHS students get in for free and spirit day giveaways will be available to BGHS students in the student
section of the arena.
Owens’ Gill honored
Owens Community College sophomore forward Bikramjit Gill is the Ohio Community College Athletic
Conference men’s basketball player of the week.
Gill nearly had 22 points, eight rebounds and eight blocks and one steal in a 92-86 upset of third-ranked
Cincinnati State.
He’s averaging 13.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
Owens is 15-4 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
