Falcon men's soccer loses
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Tim Kreutz scored with 7:49 remaining in the first half Wednesday to give Michigan State a 1-0 win over Bowling Green's men's soccer team.
Michael Wiest had seven saves for BG, 1-3-2 overall. MSU is 4-1.

Owens volleyball wins
CLEVELAND - The Owens Community College's volleyball team won in straight sets 25-21, 25-10, 25-12 over Cuyahoga Community College Wednesday.
Jessica Cooper led the Express with 17 assists.
Other leaders for Owens were: Lisa Urbanski 11 digs, two aces; Jazmine Thomas, eight blocks; and Kenzie Kleinhenz and Kayla Siefker, five kills each.
The Express are 8-7 overall and 3-1 in the OCCAC.

Owens men's soccer triumphs
CLEVELAND - Austin Combs and Ahmad Jarrar each scored two goals and added an assist  Wednesday to lead Owens Community College over Cuyahoga Community College 5-3.
Other contributors for Owens were: Vijay Gentles, one goal, one assist; and Troy Watson, one assist.
Owens is 8-1 overall and 2-0 in OCCAC play.

Owens women's soccer
blanks Cincinnati State
Jessica Grindle scores a hat trick in a 5-0 win over Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. The hat trick wasGrindle's second in the past three games.
Haley Gasser added three assists and Erika Brinkman made two saves for Owens.
The Express are 5-2 overall and 3-2 in Region XII.

'Jackets giving jackets
PERRYSBURG - For the Anthony Wayne at Perrysburg Homecoming football game on Oct. 11, the athletic department and student council at PHS are sponsoring 'Jackets Giving Jackets.
The event encourages students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and other community members to donate a new or used jacket at the game.
The jackets will be donated to those who need them in Perrysburg and the surrounding area.
Bring your jacket donation to the ticket booth at Steinecker Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m.
