BGSU hires asst. baseball coach
Mike Huling has been hired as an assistant baseball coach at Bowling Green State University.
Huling was a volunteer assistant at BGSU last season. He assisted in the day-to-day operations of the program, working primarily with the outfielders, while assisting with the hitters.
This season, Huling is expected to continue working with the outfielders. Huling will also be responsible for base running this season, while continuing to assist with the hitting. In addition, he will assist the program in the day-to-day operations, including scouting, travel, recruiting, conditioning and camps.
Huling played baseball for two years at the University of Southern Indiana.
Food donations to be collected at Eastwood scrimmage
LUCKEY- An admission charge will be waived Friday for Eastwood High School's football scrimmage against Archbold.
Instead Eastwood is accepting food donations, with the donations going to a local food pantry.
The scrimmage starts at 6 p.m.
The Links Lassies played Tuesday at Forrest Crease Golf Course.
The flight winners were: A, Eileen Smith, low gross and Terrie Glick, low net; B, Joan McCormick, low gross and tied for low net with Doris Christensen; C, Pat Koehler and Shirley Kausch, low gross and Kausch, low net. McCormick used the low number of putts.
