Andy Open youth golf tournament set Aug. 6
Bowling Green Parks and Recreation will host its ninth-annual Andy Open youth golf tournament at 8:30
a.m. Aug. 6 at Bowling Green Country Club.
The event is open to anyone ages 6 to 18 and may be split up by age and gender. BG residents’ fee is $10,
and registration for non-residents is $13.
Participants must have experience playing golf or ar least have attended a skills clinic, and must
provide their own clubs and balls and be able to carry their own bag.
Participants will receive a hot-dog lunch, T-shirt and ribbon; certificates will be awarded to the top
finishers in each division. Register by Aug. 1 at www.bgohio.org or at the Bowling Green Community

Softball team traveling to Maryland series
Several Northwest Ohio softball players will travel with SGS Magic’s 12U team to the USSSA Eastern World
Series in Salisbury, Maryland next week.
Morgan Watson of Bowling Green, Brynne Limes of Weston and Madeline Nell of Haskins will compete in the
SGS Shootout in Maumee this weekend before traveling to Maryland. The team is 5-0 in tournaments and is
33-0 this year.
