BGSU QB on watch list
Falcon quarterback Matt Johnson was named to the 2014 Maxwell Award Watch List.
Announced by the Maxwell Football Club, the award has been given annually to America's College Player of the Year since 1937.
Johnson last season led Bowling Green to its first Mid-American Conference Championship since 1992.
Semifinalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced Nov. 3, while the three finalists for will be named Nov. 24.

Mini golf at Fifth Third Field
Before Fifth Third Field is turned into an outdoor hockey rink for Walleye Winterfest, it will become an 18-hole miniature golf course Sept. 25 - 28.
Admission is $15 with a portion of the proceeds benefitting area charities. Each player receives a souvenir Links at Fifth Third Field golf ball.
Tee times will be accepted beginning August 4 by calling the Mud Hens box office at 419-725-HENS.

Perrysburg hosts all-star football
Perrysburg Athletic Boosters again host its Northwest Ohio All-Star Football Game at Steinecker Stadium at 7 p.m. July 18.
The game features 98 players from 40 different schools from across northwest Ohio.
