Six Falcon football games to be on TV

At least six Bowling Green Falcon football games will be televised by the ESPN family of networks this fall, the school announced Tuesday. The school also announced the starting times for some of its games.

The Falcons will open the season Aug. 29 at home against Tulsa in a game that will be shown live by ESPNU at 7 p.m.
BG travels to Kent State Sept. 7 for a noon kickoff, slated for ESPN Regional/ESPN Plus/ESPN3 broadcast.
Other games on national television will be at Indiana (ESPNU), noon; at Miami (ESPN2/ESPNU), Ohio (ESPNU/ESPN3) and at Buffalo (ESPNU/ESPN3).
The remaining starting times will be announced at a later date.

BG's complete schedule:
August: 29 - TULSA, 7 p.m.
September: 7 - at Kent State, noon; 14 - at Indiana, noon; 21 - MURRAY STATE, 3:30 p.m.; 28 - AKRON, tba.
October: 5 - Massachusetts, 3:30 p.m.; 12 - at Mississippi State, tba; 26 - TOLEDO, tba.
November: 5 - at Miami, 8 p.m.; 12 - OHIO, 7:30 p.m.; 23 - at Eastern Michigan, 1 p.m. 29 - at Buffalo, tba.

Pemberville Legion  wins tournament
The Pemberville Legion baseball team won a tournament in Albion, Pa. over the weekend.
Pemberville was 5-0 in the tournament, beating Weslyville, Pa.; Albion, Pa.; Mill Creek, Pa.; Kingsville, Pa; and Sandusky. Pemberville out-scored its opponents, 32-7, including three shutouts.
Ryan Kohlhofer was 9-for-18 with four runs batted in and seven runs for Pemberville, while Andrew Herringshaw was 7-for-15 with six RBI.
Pemberville's record is 14-3.
