Elmwood boys basketball plans golf outing
JERRY CITY - The annual golf outing to benefit Elmwood's basketball team is Aug. 9 at Loudon Meadows in Fostoria.

Hewitt named women's soccer coach at Owens
Kenny Hewitt has been named the head women's soccer coach at Owens Community College.
He becomes the second head coach in program history and succeeds Mary Whisler, who went 42-12-5 in three season.
Hewitt, who played collegiately at Ashland, has been an assistant coach with the men's and women's soccer programs at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tenn. the past two years.
He helped lead the men's soccer program to an appearance in the NCAA Division II national championship game last year.  On the women's side, he helped the program improve to a 3-11-2 record in 2012 and to 6-7-4 last year.
