Bowling Green redshirt junior Brooke Pleger enters the NCAA track and field championships as the No. 2
seed in the hammer throw.
She finished second with a throw of 216-2 in the NCAA East Regional Thursday in Jacksonville, Florida.

Pleger, who finished seventh at the NCAA meet last season, will compete at the national meet June 11 at
4:30 p.m.
BG’s Makenzie Wheat fouled on all three of her throws in the shot put at the regional Saturday.
On Friday, Elmwood High School graduate Kori Reiser finished 34th in the discus (158-6), Tina Perrine
finished 42nd in the discus (151-0), and Jeanette Pettigrew finished 37th in the 200 (24.00).Bowling
