BGSU men’s basketball signs transfer
Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball program announced the signing of forward Delvin
Dickerson Wednesday.
The 6-foot-7 Dickerson, coming from Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas, will be eligible this fall.
Dickerson was named first team All-Conference and first team All-Region, earning a spot on the Region XIV
All-Tournament Team, averaging 11.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. He helped lead the Dragons to a
26-8 overall record, including a 15-4 mark in conference play last season.
"Delvin Dickerson will have an immediate impact on our basketball program. Delvin brings an ability
to score the basketball both at the rim and from beyond the arc along with being a high level
athlete," BG coach Chris Jans said. "Delvin was an integral part of a balanced championship
team at Paris Junior College playing under respected coach Chuck Taylor. We couldn’t be more excited
about Delvin’s decision to continue his academic and athletic career at BGSU."
Dickerson was ranked in the Top 100 in the Class of 2012 out of high school and signed with South Alabama
before going to Paris JC.
Falcon baseball wins
YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team evened its record at 20-20 with an
11-8 nonleague win over Eastern Michigan in 10 innings Wednesday. The Falcons are 14-4 in their last 18
games.
In the 10th inning for BG, Jake Thomas hit an RBI double, and Tyler Greiner hit a two-RBI single.
BG’s top hitters were: Thomas, 2-for-2, two doubles; T.J. Losby, 2-for-2, home run, two RBI; and Patrick
Lancaster, 2-for-4, two RBI.
BGSU swimmers earn academic honors
CLEVELAND – Jordan Bullock and Joelle Scheps, members of the Bowling Green State University swimming
team, earned academic All-Mid-American Conference honors for this past season.
Bullock has a 3.38 grade-point average in pre-medicine. Scheps has a 4.0 GPA in individualized business.

Earning honorable mention All-MAC academic honors were BG’s Stephanie Boyle, Kayla Effinger, Nicole
Hranchook, Erica Nieminen, Alexandra Poitinger, Haley Roberts and Carmen Young.
BGHS has girls soccer opening
