BGSU's Koch wins 5,000
HILLSDALE, Mich. - Bowling Green State University's Abby Koch won the 5,000 meters in 17:27.49 at the opening day of the Gina Relays at Hillsdale College.
The time was a personal best for Koch, who topped the 77-runner field.
Also for the Falcons, Krystin Reiser is third after the first four events of the heptathlon. She will complete the final three events today. Her best finish came in the high jump with a height of 4-foot-11 3/4 for 644 points. She has 2,357 total points.

Thayer Chevrolet to aid BG youth baseball
Thayer Chevrolet is helping Bowling Green youth baseball by providing new equipment, a monetary contribution, invitations to free instructional clinics, and an opportunity for community members to enter the free Chevrolet vehicle sweepstakes.
Thayer Chevrolet will present the BG Youth Baseball League with equipment kits including equipment bags, baseball buckets, practice hitting nets, umpire ball bags, batting tees. The sponsorship also includes youth clinics featuring current and former players and coaches and instructors from Ripken Baseball.
In addition, Thayer Chevrolet will present a check representing a one-time monetary contribution to BG youth baseball.

Maumee-Perrysburg fishing tourney changed
The Maumee High School vs. Perrysburg High School fishing tournament is being moved from this weekend to the rain date of May 4 because the Maumee River is too high.
Anyone interested has until next Thursday to register.
